After a great High School meet and Turkey meet, I feel grateful to be here coaching all these great athletes. We also have so much here at the YMCA we should all be thankful.

What a meet we had last weekend. Our Black and Gold Teams are becoming the speedsters of the State. We are dominating many of the events and it is really fun to watch. In many cases the competition on our team is greater than from the other teams. What a great environment to produce fast swimmers. Two things here we all need to keep in perspective. This group will win championship meets as they grow into senior level swimmers. I have seen it happen several times over the years and we have one of the finest group of swimmers in the history of the Y Sharks. Second point, parents let's keep these kids together for the future because it really looks bright. The inter-team competition is great as long as it doesn't become so competitive and becomes unhealthy. Pit your swimmers against the clock, not each other. The swimmers already compete against one another, sometimes it's down right fierce. That's good if we keep it fun.

Lets work hard and keep these swimmers together. It's going to be alot of fun. Winning always is.
